JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Nobody was injured in a Monday evening fireplace that destroyed a Missouri state workplace constructing, Gov. Mike Parson’s workplace mentioned Tuesday.
The Division of Social Companies’ Jefferson Metropolis constructing was empty when firefighters arrived Monday, in line with Parson’s workplace.
Roughly 100 staffers for the Social Companies Division and the Workplace of Administration’s Info Expertise Companies Division had labored within the East Elm Road constructing. Parson’s administration is relocating the employees and changing destroyed gear.
Parson spokeswoman Kelli Jones mentioned there’s not an estimated value of the injury the fireplace brought on but. The State Fireplace Marshall and the Jefferson Metropolis Fireplace Division have been set to examine the injury Tuesday.
